In the booklet below you can find a guideline on what are the exact changes you will find in the opportunities and how you can create/open new ones. Check it out in the following link or in the document attached below.

Frequently Asked Questions
We also have this section for you to take a look and solve all doubts you might have regarding the opportunity changes.
Question:
If we have approvals for projects after the changes are in the platform, will they be still counted?
Answer:
Yes, applications won’t disappear. You can still process them even after the opportunities are not on YOP anymore. If people applied they will be able to see the opportunity from their applications page.
Question:
For the following statement: "All the opportunities that were created with the old opportunity creator, will not be visible on aiesec.org/search after June 30th", Will we have to create all our opportunities again?
Answer:
Yes, you can choose to either upload them now following the new formats or wait until you can finish opening them. If you have the same project just with different dates you will only need to upload that project once and add slots.
Question:
If you can summarize, what are the main changes that EXPA will be facing?
Answer:
- Opportunity creator can support new products and the rules around them. We can analyze and filter opportunities by duration type. Opportunities with multiple dates can be managed in one place.
- Insurance and visa information can be standardized based on the entity. They will be filled by the MCs.
- Opportunity detail page in expa is made to make updating the opportunity more user-friendly.
- Notifications for MCs will be added around opportunities to help with managing and opening them.
Question:
Will the opportunity IDs and the opportunity links change?
Answer:
- New opportunities will have a new link structure to help with SEO. If you use the old link structure we will automatically redirect to the correct one.
- Every new opportunity open will have a unique ID, by default. Thus, if you open a new opportunity, this opportunity will have a new ID. If you don't, the IDs won't change.
Question:
If we already have people approved in the opportunities, we will need to reapprove them?
Answer:
No.
Question:
If EPs are accepted on opportunities, do we still have to reopen the opportunity and accept them again?
Answer:
Yes.
Question:
If we create an opportunity and add multiple slots in the same, will it show as 2 different opportunities separately on YOP or the same? And will it affect the number of organic applications to the opportunity?
Answer:
It will show up as 1 opportunity with multiple dates. This should reduce how many repeated opportunities and make it easier for people to find the relevant opportunity. In theory, this should make it easier to get more applicants.
Question:
Regarding health insurance information, this is OGX's responsibility. Thus, as ICX do we need to add health insurance in the platform?
Answer:
No, OGX is supposed to take care of this information. We will be adding help text to guide MCs in inputting the correct information on the fields. In the following link you can check how to update the visa and health insurance information with more details:
How to update Visa/Health Insurance Information
Question:
Will EPs be able to apply to more than one spot at the same opportunity?
Answer:
An EP can have only one “active” application to an opportunity. If they are rejected or withdrawn they can re-apply to a new slot.
